+++++++++++ Bittersweet +++++++++++
Ah, my deare angrie Lord,
Since thou dost love, yet strike;
Cast down, yet help afford;
Sure I will do the like.

I will complain, yet praise;
I will bewail, approve:
And all my sowre-sweet dayes
I will lament, and love.
The name of my column,
Bittersweet, came from
a poem written by George
Herbert (1593-1633).
Short discourses from various sources
relating to man and his Maker.
For people like you with nothing to do
but read another newspaper.
I had a column in a local newspaper back in the seventies in the now
Denton County Enterprise.  It also appeared in my hometown
The Clarksville Times.  Jerry Stout, owner of the Enterprise
let me sell some advertising and write the column.  He was a true friend.
